This is Hacktography™, a creative fusion of my two worlds: Hacking and Photography. Hacking, you say? Don’t worry, I’m not here to break into your Socials, I’m one of the good guys; I am a professional Hacker, aka Cyber-Security Consultant and in my universe, hacking means playful curiosity, creative problem-solving, and a dash of mischief. Think MacGyver with a camera and less mullet.
Hacktography™ isn’t just my hobby; it’s my life! It’s where I bend the rules of traditional photography, experiment with my gear in unintended ways, and capture the unseen magic hiding in everyday objects. If you’ve ever wanted to see the world through the eyes of a curious hacktographer™, you’re in the right place. Prepare for a journey that’s equal parts art, science, and “wait, how did you do that?”
Macro Hacking: Visual Exploits Unleashed
In my line of work, everything is a computer. Therefore, everything can be hacked, which is essentially using a thing in an unintended way. I have captured some pretty detailed macro images in the past year or so and my favorites were taken using a ‘hacked’ lens, basically giving me the results of a high-end lens for about $12.
